This Valentine's Day pizookie is quick to prepare and delicious. A chocolate chip cookie served warm with vanilla ice cream on top.

  • 3/4 cup butter (or margarine) at room temperature
  • 1/2 Tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips (about 1 cup)

  1. Mix softened butter, sugars, vanilla, and egg together until light and creamy, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Slowly add salt, baking soda, and flour. (You can premix these). Continue mixing with a stand or hand mixer until a soft dough forms.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Press the dough into a heart pan about 1-1.5" thick.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 10 minutes. Check. Add a few more minutes if needed. You want the dough to be mostly cooked through, but still soft so that it's warm and gooey.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes. Top with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. Eat warm straight out of the skillet

This dough recipe will make enough for 1-2 heart pans, depending on the size you use. Feel free to double the recipe if you want extra dough for cookies! For cookies, bake at 350 for 9-12 minutes.
