Use this magic reindeer food recipe for friend gifts, classroom parties, or an easy Christmas activity for kids!

    this awesome idea!

Making edible reindeer food is an easy Christmas craft for preschoolers! Or if you're looking for a simple Christmas Eve activity for kids, this is it!

This reindeer treat is quick to make and a fun way to add some magic to your Christmas Eve!

Making this Christmas recipe on Christmas Eve is one of my kid's favorite activities to do! #letthembelittle.

Since I'm in charge of a Christmas activity at my son's preschool, I thought this would be a simple craft they can do!

    REINDEER FOOD INGREDIENTS

To make this edible reindeer food, all you need is:

    • Dry rolled oats
    • Christmas sprinkles
    • Glitter (optional- see directions below)
    • Small plastic bags for reindeer food bags if you plan to give them as a gift or Christmas party favor
    • reindeer tags
    • Avery 5294 round sticker labels

HOW TO MAKE REINDEER FOOD CRAFT

DIY reindeer food is so easy to make!

I recommend making individual portions instead of a big bowl so that:

    • each child can make their own bag or reindeer dust for their yard
    • this activity will take longer than 2 seconds

First, get a snack size zipper storage bag. Scoop 4 Tablespoons of dry rolled oats and dump in the bag.

Next, add sprinkles! Use red sprinkles, green sprinkles, or a Christmas sprinkle mix. Be cautious using red and green sugar crystal sprinkles together or the color will mix and not look very appetizing.

Attach the reindeer food tags to each bag and that's all!

I personally like this method of using sprinkles and oatmeal better than using glitter. So if you don't want the mess of glitter, use sprinkles instead.

If you don't have sprinkles on hand, you can always use glitter in a pinch.

    PRINTABLE REINDEER FOOD POEM

I've made it so easy to put this Christmas craft together!

Using Avery 5294 round labels are quite possibly my favorite thing ever.

Since little kids will be putting these reindeer snacks together, I figured it would be easiest to have them use a sticker than to cut out each tag and attach it with tape.

And even if you aren't using these for preschool Christmas party, the sticker labels make it so much quicker.

This is the reindeer food poem:

Sprinkle on your yard at night.

The moon will make it sparkle bright.

As the reindeer fly and roam,

This will guide them to your home.
