Halloween Home Decor Ideas
Do you love making your house festive for holidays, but don't like to clutter it up with stuff?
Before you begin decorating your home, you may need to formulate different decoration plans based on the needs of each room. In this way, you might be able to purchase the appropriate items for each room more easily. As an example, you can create a Halloween gallery wall in the living room, while for the she shed, you can consider putting up beautiful she shed lighting. In the same way, you can plan for other areas of the room prior to Halloween. I'm sharing some simple ways I've decorated our house for Halloween that are minimal, inexpensive, and kid-friendly--meaning I don't have to stress about my little ones breaking anything!
1) Add a simple Halloween banner to your mantle.
Your mantle is a a great place to add some Halloween decorations. Since it's already a focal point in your home, spruce it up by adding a festive Halloween banner. If you like, you could even create your own custom quote sign and re-use it every year during Halloween! But for some simple decor, a banner would be a great addition. This one came from Walmart, but there are lots of options out there.
2) Add a family Halloween photo and painted pumpkins.
If you do family Halloween costumes, print a photo and frame it for your mantle! The pictures aren't supposed to stay on your hard drive.
Reusable painted pumpkins also a great touch to your Halloween mantle without being too cluttery.

3) Hang bats on the wall.
A wall of bats is so fun for an entry way! You can easily create your own or get already-made bats for your wall here.

4) Don't forget to decorate the front porch.
Especially if trick-or-treaters are coming your way, you can make your front porch extra festive! Just add a few strands of orange twinkle lights and a fall wreath.
Layered rugs are all the rage these days. I love this buffalo check rug I got that's not only perfect for Fall, but year round.

5) Decorate the guest bath
Adding some modern Halloween art to your guest bathroom and some mini pumpkins and skeleton are such a simple way to decorate. And you won't have to worry about little ones reaching it!

6) Display Halloween books in a fun way
If you've got a collection of Halloween books (see our favorites here), gather them into one place and display them all month long.

There you have it! Some fun and easy Halloween home decor ideas!
