CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIES FOR THE WIN!

Are you going to be hosting a Christmas cookie exchange this year? Or attending one and want to wow everyone?

Meet the recipe for the "best all-around" cookie that won at my first Christmas Cookie party.

You might be thinking...sure, sure. What's so great about these Christmas sugar cookies? Well, let me tell you.

    • These star sugar cookies are yummy. Different than your ordinary sugar cookie.
    • These cookies are so festive. Those mini stars and gold sprinkles? So fancy and festive!
    • The dough can be made in advance and so can the cookies. All you'll have to do is frost them when you're ready to party!

These mini Christmas cookies, they are something else. Thanks for my gourmet baker sister who shared this recipe with me. She promised me it was a winner and quite literally it was! This cookie was voted "best all around" at our party last year. Packed with mouth-watering flavor and a soft texture that sets them apart from most, this recipe is gourmet.

    INGREDIENTS

    • granulated sugar and powdered sugar
    • butter
    • vegetable oil
    • vanilla
    • eggs
    • flour
    • baking soda, salt
    • cream of tartar
    • cream cheese frosting
    • mini star cookie cutter
    • gold sprinkles

HOW TO MAKE CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIES

This sugar cookie recipe is unlike any you've probably seen before.  You not only add powdered sugar into the dough, but there is no need to roll out the cookies!

The cookie dough can be made in advance. When you are ready to bake, simply roll the dough into small balls and then push down into a mini star cookie cutter.

I've shared my favorite every day sugar cookie recipe here , and that recipe is still our go-to if you plan to roll out cookies and decorate them with fun holiday shapes.

Looking for a festive and yummy sugar cookie? This is your ticket. The steps to making these soft sugar cookies are not difficult. You'll do a few different steps than traditional sugar cookies. And no rolling out!

Just took the last batch out of the oven and they look so good. Now I’m wondering how to make cream cheese frosting. This is a good recipe for last minute people like me because I already had all the ingredients without having to shop.
