Apple Themed Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Teacher Appreciation Week Gifts

It’s teacher appreciation week and I’m so excited to share a few ideas with you to help show the teachers in your life how grateful you are for all they do.  If you don’t send in a gift this week, the end of the school year will be here before you know it and that’s always a great time for a thank you as well.  I’m even sharing some free printables to make it even easier for you!

Last year I was the Room Mother for my son’s 1st grade class, so I went all out to put together a gift bag full of goodies from the whole class.  I’m not suggesting that anyone needs to do all of these things, I just thought it would be fun to share several ideas for you to pick and choose from.  I’m a sucker for a good apple theme when it comes to teacher gifts, so here’s a few fun and themed ideas for you today…

I found an awesome tutorial on how to make this apple art here.  Instead of making a card like she did, I decided to frame it as a keepsake for the teacher to remember her little class by.  All you’ll need is a class list.

What teacher couldn’t use more pencils??  I just spray painted a glass jar red and added some paper leaves to look like an apple and filled the whole thing with the teacher’s favorite kind of pencils.  Super easy.  Super cute.

If you’re lucky enough to volunteer at your child’s school, grab some pictures of the different activities each time you go.  At the end of the year throw them all on a CD as a great gift for the teacher.  I even have the printable to make the apple themed CD sleeve for you at the end of the post.

What teacher couldn’t use a nice night out to celebrate another school year for the books.  A giftcard to Applebees goes right along with the theme and it’s a gift you know they’ll actually want and use.  You can grab this printable at the end of the post as well!

All the EOS printables are just so fun don’t you think?!  Here’s a cute apple one for your favorite teacher.

Throw your gift in a cloth bag so the teacher can reuse it and it’s another gift all on it’s own.  I used some fun iron on vinyl to personalize this one as well, but you could do just about anything or leave it plain too.  Either way they’ll love it!

Being a teacher is hard work and I for one am so grateful for all they do for my kiddos.  Show your favorite teachers just how much you appreciate them this week or by the end of the school year!  And to make it easier here’s some free printables for you to whip up your gifts this week…

Thank you so much for featuring my Tagxedo art, that’s really kind of you. I do like the way that you used it to make a framed picture and think I might give that a go this year! Also love the shopping bag idea and will give that a go as well.

And can I just say that as a primary (elementary) school teacher myself, I would love these gifts!

I’m so glad to hear that! Teachers deserve so much! Thanks for working hard for all those kids.

How do you make the word art?

  3. Heather DePaolo April 29, 2017

Love the bag. Is there a website I can purchase it from?

    1. Mel April 29, 2017

Do you mean the plain cloth bag?

  4. Angel May 3, 2017

I love the framed art idea!! I’ve been trying to come up with something creative for our teachers and this is it! I have been on tagxedo however and am having a hard time figuring it out. How were you able to change the color of the leaf and stem? Or add the words at the bottom? I need a little help if you can. Thanks!

I also love the framed art, but when I try and create it there is a shaded off white box around my apple that you can only see when you print. How did you get rid of that box?

Great ideas. I love the apple word art. I’ve done mine and about to print. How do you add the typing at the bottom so I can put in the name of their nursery?

  7. Nikki Jensen April 26, 2018

Did you use an 8×10 picture frame for the apple? I am using this idea for our teachers this year. I loved it so much and thought it was so cute!

    1. Melissa Sunday April 26, 2018

Yes, but you could change the size depending on the size you print the apple art on!
