Thanksgiving Eve Pie Night Tradition

Thanksgiving is almost here! Wow! So there are many things I LOVE about Thanksgiving, but perhaps one of my all-time favorite traditions is our Thanksgiving Eve Pie Night Tradition.

Where this tradition comes from:

This tradition comes from my husband’s family. A pretty sweet (literally) perk for marrying into the Sunday family if you ask me. His sisters and mom are excellent cooks, especially when it comes to pie. I get so excited to try out new their new ones each year. But rest assured, we still have the classics year after year like Sour Cream Lemon, Pumpkin, and a Chocolate.

You’d think there were a lot of us since there are at least 9 pies that show up each year. Well, let’s just say we all really like to eat. 🙂

But that’s the beauty of this tradition. We get to sample all the pies ahead of time and there are still plenty left over to eat after Thanksgiving dinner.

Here’s a few of our favorite pie recipes:

Candy Apple Pie

Sour Cream Lemon Pie

Banana Toffee Pie

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving pie? I still haven’t decided what kind to make and would love a suggestion!
