Three cheers for the 4th of July! It’s hands down my favorite holiday because around here, it is an all-day party. And who doesn’t love partying all day?
These DIY 4th of July Firework Cupcake Toppers are a really quick and easy way to make any cake or cupcakes festive for the 4th of July season.
Supplies You’ll Need:
- red, white, and blue sparkly pom-poms
- mini American flags
- toothpicks or wood skewers (if topping a cake)
How to Make DIY 4th of July Firework Cupcake Toppers
Ready for the simplest tutorial ever?
Just poke the pom-poms through the sharp end of the toothpick. You can secure with glue if you’d like, but I didn’t and they stayed put just fine.
Don’t they look exactly like fireworks and sparklers? Just one of the many reasons the 4th of July is so awesome.

And the great news is, you can use them on homemade cupcakes or store-bought cupcakes.
