So birthdays have always been a big deal for me. My parents made our birthdays super special. It wasn’t with elaborate or expensive friend parties, but rather by spoiling us all day with love, read: making our favorite meals, my dad decorating a cake for us, opening a few gifts, and spending the day as a family. And we can’t forget the birthday fairy visiting!
