Tis the season for holiday parties! Here’s a quick and easy dessert cheese ball you can whip up in no time for a party. Bonus: you can make it in advance!
Easy Holiday Party Dessert!
Oh, I just love this time of year and all the fun parties and family gatherings that come along with the holiday season. While we usually make our Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars for parties, I always love bringing different festive foods to the table, literally. This sweet Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball is a regular along with Easy English Toffee, and our favorite Star Sugar Cookies.
Why You’ll Love This Sweet Cheese Ball
One of our favorite party treats to make is this Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball. I like it because it’s different. This dessert is not one that you usually see over and over. So while everyone may bring some type of fudge or cookie, this recipe is different.
Easy to Make
You’ll only need about 10 minutes hands-on time to make this dessert. Plan to make this dessert ahead of time and keep the dessert cheese ball in the fridge until the party. None of this last minute craziness-what-should-I-make-for a-treat stress that the holidays can bring.
Not Too Sweet
Christmas is the season of treats galore, right? This sweet cheese ball is sweet, but not too sweet. And those mini chocolate chips give a fun dimension to every bite.
What You’ll Need
- Cream cheese
- brown sugar
- powdered sugar
- mini chocolate chips
- graham cracker crumbs
- Vanilla wafer cookies
Right Before the Party
Once you are ready to serve this dessert cheese ball, pull it out of the fridge, place on your favorite tray and empty a box of vanilla wafers (or other cookies) to serve with it.
TIP: If you are taking this dessert cheese ball to a party or potluck, add a label so that the guests won’t confuse it with a savory cheese ball. Using a candy cane or striped paper straw can add that festive touch for a Christmas party.
