Do you have a stack of Christmas books around your house? If so, you should do a Christmas book advent calendar!
Sometimes it's hard to get through all those cute Christmas stories. But with this advent calendar idea, you read one Christmas book each night of December.
HOW TO DO A CHRISTMAS STORY ADVENT CALENDAR
First, gather all the books you have in your house. Chances are you have more than you think!
Then decide if you want to do a 12 day or 24 day advent. A normal advent consists of 24 days, but it's up to you if you want to do a 12 Days of Christmas books or do the full month.
Purchase additional Christmas books or borrow enough from the library to complete what you the amount you have chosen.
Here's a few of our favorite advent books:

- Pick a Pine Tree
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Before December 1st, wrap up each book and place in a basket by the Christmas tree.
Each night, gather together with your kids. Unwrap a Christmas advent book and read it together.
When all the books are gone, Christmas is here!
DO I HAVE TO WRAP THE BOOKS?
No, you don't have to wrap all the Christmas books, but it definitely makes it more fun. Kids love opening presents and this will give them a way to open something before Christmas.
