Homemade thank you cards are a great way to show your gratitude for someone this Thanksgiving season. Here's an easy way to create DIY thank you watercolor cards in no time.
What I've loved about blogging is getting the opportunity to work with other creative minds! Laura Trevey of Bright, Bold, & Beautiful is one of these creative geniuses. She's also a watercolor artist. You can see her work here. Laura has created a watercolor card kit that includes everything you need to make beautiful watercolor cards.
I loved spending the afternoon during nap time taking a break from cleaning and the computer to create some thank you cards that we can send out this Thanksgiving season.
Now, don't judge my artistic abilities because I am no painter. Although I'd like to spend more time doing it because it is very therapeutic! Even an amateur can create simple cards.
What you'll need:
- Watercolor Card Kit from Darby Smart ( includes paint, brushes, paint try, liquid frisket and 10 blank cards + envelopes)
Using the liquid frisket was my favorite part. Ever used liquid frisket? I hadn't either. I painted my design onto the card using the frisket and then I peeled it off after the watercolors have dried, leaving a clean design.
Visit Darby Smart to pick up your Watercolor Card kit! If you've never purchased anything on Darby Smart, you'll get a $10 off promo code, making this kit very affordable!
