A FLAVORFUL WAY TO EAT POPCORN
Raise your hand if you love popcorn! Popcorn is a perfect treat for so many reasons.
- Popcorn is cheap. You can make an entire batch and it won't break the bank.
- Popcorn is easy. If my 5 year old can make popcorn, so can you.
- Popcorn is quick. You can whip up a batch of Halloween popcorn so quickly. So even if you ever find yourself in a bind and need a quick treat, popcorn is great.
YUMMY & EASY JELLO POPCORN
Now, before you stop reading, hear me out. Yes, I said Jello!
We don't eat Jello a ton at our house unless it's for our Thanksgiving 13-layer rainbow jello or these festive Halloween Spider Shots , or Jello Popcorn.
But at Halloween, we call it Monster Munch because it sounds way more festive that way.
This Halloween Popcorn is so festive and fun! Because you use Jello, you can use any flavor you like. But our favorites are orange and lime. And aren't those perfect for Halloween or what?
HOW TO MAKE MONSTER MUNCH:
- Pop popcorn. You can use either microwave bags or an air-popper.
- Cook the Jello mixture according to the recipe below.
- Pour over the popcorn and eat gooey or bake for a few minutes for a crunchier popcorn.
- Optional- add in candy monster eyes!

Monster Munch Halloween Popcorn
- Total Time: 20 minutes
Description
A fun treat to eat while you're watching a family Halloween movie!
Ingredients
- 8 cups popped popcorn
- ¼ cup butter
- 3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- ⅓ cup white sugar
- 1 small package (3 oz.) of orange gelatin
Instructions
- Heat oven to 300. Line a cookie sheet with tin foil and set aside.
- Melt butter in a large sauce pan on low heat and stir in corn syrup. Add in sugar and gelatin.
- Once it is all mixed together, bring to a boil on medium heat. Simmer on low for 5 minutes.
- Immediately pour onto popcorn and stir until popcorn is covered well.
- Spread onto cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- Let cool. Break apart and enjoy!
Notes
This recipe can be made using any flavor of Jello. Try it out for different seasons/holidays.
