Tomorrow, October 14th is National Chocolate-Covered Insects Day. We've never celebrated this day before, but since I have a 2 year old who is obsessed with snakes and bugs right now, this celebration is a must!
Of course, we won't be eating REAL chocolate-covered insects. Instead, we will make some chocolate-covered insects that are a little more tasty. And kid-friendly too!
What you need:
gummy worms // melted chocolate (we used chocolate chips) // dirt (aka crushed oreos or toffee bits) // wax paper
How to make tasty chocolate-covered insects for National Chocolate Covered Insect Day:
- Dip the worms in melted chocolate
- Then dip into dirt.
- Repeat until all worms are covered.
- Cool on a piece of wax paper. Eat and enjoy!
^Don't forget to lick your fingers!
Happy Chocolate Covered Insects Day!
