Today was Learn Something New Day. I love this time of year of new beginnings. Even though I'm not going back-2-school, I get the itch to learn new things and get in better habits.
I don't have much experience making movies, but it's something I've always wanted to get better at. Sure, photos are great, but movies bring a whole new set of memories that photos just can't capture.
So in honor of Learn Something New Day, I made a little video for you! That's right. Now, don't be expecting anything too professional. I just used Windows Movie Maker because I am still trying to learn how to use Adobe Premier.
We made an apple pie (our first ever!) for Labor Day. While the pie was baking, I let my toddler make something my mom would make with me when I was younger: donkey booses. (I know, strange name. I have no idea where it came from, but that's what my grandma called them and so on.)
Pie Crust should never go to waste and this is what you can do with it! Enjoy.
To make your own:
- Roll out the excess pie crust. Cut into desired shapes. Poke with a fork and then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake at 375 for 6-8 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool slightly and eat!
Here's to more movies! I had a blast.
P.S. The pie crust we made from Mel's Kitchen Cafe is my absolute new favorite. I'm never going back!

Brandon is one of my favorite dads. Blake's a lucky guy - so is Evelyn for that matter. Great video.
