Homemade pizza sauce can seem complicated to make. it might seem that the stuff can take years for perfection. Even the greatest of Michelin star chefs have faced difficulties regarding the same. But not any more!

This no-fail, no-cook pizza sauce recipe is going to make you extremely popular. The flavors are so good that it can make anybody's mouth water instantly. Eventually, if many people like your recipe, then you can consider starting a food business. For instance, you can think about buying a food truck, which happens to be in vogue at the current time. Or you can buy pizza franchises for saleand set the business up according to your liking. These may sound dramatic, but really, this best pizza sauce recipe is one of those recipes that will become a favorite.

In fact, my mother in law gave us this recipe 12 years ago and it is still the only pizza sauce recipe we use.

Since Friday nights are pizza nights at our house, this sauce always makes an appearance when we make homemade pizza. It's perfect for our holiday pizzas and make-your-own pizza nights.

    INGREDIENTS

When you want pizza, but don't want to go to the store for sauce, no worries. All the ingredients in this recipe are shelf-stable, pantry ingredients. So it's easy to keep all the ingredients on hand and then you can always have fresh pizza sauce.

    • 14.5 oz can of diced or petite diced tomatoes (or the equivalent with fresh tomatoes)
    • 6 oz. can tomato paste
    • sugar
    • dried oregano
    • garlic powder
    • Italian seasoning
    • crushed red pepper, optional

    HOW TO MAKE PIZZA SAUCE

Homemade pizza sauce recipes don't need to be complicated.

That's why this quick pizza sauce will become a favorite! All you need is 3 minutes.

To make pizza sauce from scratch, simply put all the ingredients into a blender. Mix until everything is well combined.

Adjust the seasonings and then you're ready to make homemade pizza!

Are you wondering if brands and restaurants make their sauce in the same way? Then the answer is yes! But, you might notice a difference in taste.

This difference could be because of the equipment (some instances can be found on nella toronto) they use as well as their secret seasonings.

Also, don't forget, they often use a lot of preservatives and similar substances to make it last longer. So, the difference could also be due to this reason.

However, with this pizza sauce recipe, you are just consuming the healthy ingredients that you choose to add. This means, a complete win-win.

    CAN I FREEZE PIZZA SAUCE?

    You bet you can!

This healthy pizza sauce freezes incredibly well.

I often make a double batch and freeze the extras into small bags so pizza nights can be quick and effortless.

Use this sauce recipe to spread on 2-3 large pizzas or individual pizzas, and then save the rest in the refrigerator for up to one week.

    Budget-Friendly Basic Pizza Sauce

Making your own pizza sauce will also save you money. A jar from the store will cost you almost $2. This recipe costs less than $1 to make and you get 2x as much!
