Looking for a St. Patrick’s Day drink? These Green Mean Machines are the perfect Pinch-Proof Potion.
Green Mean Machines- the easiest St. Patrick’s Day drink!
Green Mean Machines are such a fun and yummy way to add a little festiveness to your St. Patrick’s Day. It wasn’t until I got to college my Freshman year that I realized that not many people celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. I was shocked!
So I went to the on-campus grocery store and picked up the few ingredients for these fun drinks and made them for all my roommates. They loved them and I loved getting to share one of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day family traditions with them. Green Mean Machines were created by my mom, who was the reason I started this blog in the first place. I’m not lying when I tell you she was the most festive person–always finding simple ways to add a little zest to life.
Although these green drinks aren’t anything fancy, they sure are fun. Seriously, Saint Patrick’s Day would not be the same without Green Mean Machines.
What You Need for Green Mean Machines:
- Lime sorbet
- 7-Up or Sprite
- Rainbow napkins (optional, but fun!)
How to Make Green Mean Machines:
First, mix lime sorbet and your favorite lemon-lime soda in a blender until frothy. We like our St. Patrick’s Day drinks nice and thick, so we’ll usually use 1/2 carton of lime sorbet to about 1 can of lemon-lime soda.
However, you can’t really mess this up. Start with sorbet first and then add soda until you have reached your desired consistency.
Then sip, sip, sip away!
