The best Where’s Waldo costumes on a budget. How to make your own for $20 plus other inexpensive options.
WHERE’S WALDO COSTUMES ON A BUDGET
Our family loves doing a themed Halloween costume. Dressing up in Where’s Waldo costumes was the easiest family Halloween costume ideas we did.
If you need a simple Halloween costume idea, dress up as Where’s Waldo!
I’thrifted and DIYed our family costumes (which I break down at the end of this post), but I’ve rounded up the most inexpensive options in case you don’t have the time or energy to put together your own.
WHERE’S WALDO COSTUMES FOR KIDS
You can’t beat this price for a complete kid’s costume!
WOMEN’S WALDO COSTUMES
I think this a great deal considering you get tights, a shirt, and accessories. The tights would be cute with a jean skirt!
DIY WHERE’S WALDO COSTUMES
This is how we did our Waldo costumes for our family of 4 for just around $20.
WHERE’S WALDO SHIRTS
I love thrifting, so I searched my favorite thrift store and found our red and white striped shirts.
My husband’s was an official Waldo shirt, but it’s really easy to find red and white rugby striped shirts that will work just as well.
Total for shirts= $10
The Where’s Waldo glasses are from Dollar Tree. For just $1 each, you can punch out the paper inserts for thick rimmed glasses.
We also got the Where’s Waldo hats at thrift stores.
- Man’s Waldo hat- red winter beanie with white masking tape to make stripes
- Women’s Waldo hat- white hat and I attached a red pom pom
- Toddler Waldo hat- found at thrift store
- Baby Waldo hat- sewed out of thrifted shirt
Total for hats= $8
Grab your favorite pair of jeans and you’ve got your own DIY Where’s Waldo outfits.
So, if you add up all the Where’s Waldo costume pieces, it came to a grand total of $21!
