Hello there! Happy Monday. Excuse my absence last week. We spent nearly every minute outside for 2 reasons: 1. I was finally feeling good enough to get out, and 2. The weather was sunny and beautiful. Blogging just wasn't a priority. And our weekend was the same.
Saturday started out perfect with my first yard sale shopping of the season. There is nothing I love more (except maybe tulips) this time of year that seeing "Yard Sale" signs popping up all over town. For it being the first one of the season, I was happy with a few things I came away with for cheap:
$3 mirror and $3 globe. Score! Especially since that wasn't the original price they were asking for.
Throughout my years of yard sale shopping, I've learned a few secrets/tips that have made my experience more successful. Throughout this week, I'll be sharing them with you. Don't worry-they are nothing crazy or illegal--just tried and true tips that have helped me walk away with a smile on my face and some pretty cool and useful items. That is, if you don't mind second-hand things.
So be sure to come back for part 2 tomorrow and part 3 on Wednesday. And, if you have any secrets of your own, send them to [email protected] and I'll post them on Thursday--right in time for a weekend of successful yard-sale shopping!
Let us know what you think!
